We stand behind our technical expertise. Our repair warranty provides you with professional, transparent, and fair coverage for your peace of mind in Malaysia.
Our warranty strictly covers the specific hardware parts we have replaced and the workmanship associated with that specific repair. It ensures that the component we installed functions exactly as intended.
What is Covered
- Performance defects in the specific replacement part provided by Genius Advanced.
- Workmanship and labor related directly to the replaced component.
- Hardware failures of the newly installed part that occur under normal, everyday usage conditions.
- Coverage is valid only within the specific time period stated on your official receipt or invoice.
What is NOT Covered
- Software issues, operating system bugs, malware, or viruses.
- OS formatting or software reinstallation services.
- Routine maintenance, dust cleaning, or thermal repasting services.
- Labour-only services (e.g., diagnostics without part replacement).
- Any data loss or file corruption (unless utilizing our specific Data Recovery service).
- New hardware faults unrelated to the original repaired component.
Conditions That Void The Warranty
To maintain a fair policy for all customers, the warranty becomes immediately void if the device is subjected to abnormal conditions after it leaves our laboratory.
Physical Damage
Any signs of physical impact, including drops, severe dents, bent chassis, shattered glass, or cracked LCD panels, will instantly void the warranty on all parts.
Liquid Damage
Exposure to water, coffee, high humidity, or any liquid spills inside the device nullifies coverage. Internal water damage indicators will be checked.
Unauthorized Tampering
Opening the device yourself, or taking it to a third-party repair shop after our service, voids the warranty. Our components must remain untouched by outside parties.
Missing Stickers / Serial
If the Genius Advanced warranty sticker is broken, removed, or tampered with, or if the component's serial number is unreadable, the warranty claim will be rejected.
Screen Repair Specifics
Because displays are fragile components, we have clear guidelines on what constitutes a valid screen warranty claim.
Phone Screens
The warranty covers touch-related defects (e.g., ghost touching or dead touch zones) only if the screen is in pristine physical condition.
Cracked glass, deep scratches, internal LCD bleeding, or colored lines caused by pressure/drops are NOT covered.
Laptop / MacBook Screens
The warranty covers display artifacts (e.g., flickering or dead pixels) arising from manufacturing defects of the panel itself.
Physical cracks, pressure marks, broken hinges tearing the cable, or liquid damage to the display assembly are NOT covered.
Important Notes for Customers
- Data Backup: Customers are solely responsible for backing up their data before handing over the device. Genius Advanced is not liable for any data loss during the hardware repair process.
- Realistic Expectations: While we use premium parts and expert micro-soldering, repairing older or severely damaged devices does not make them entirely immune to future wear and tear.
- Claim Process: Bring the device back to the original branch (Bangi or Cyberjaya) along with your digital or physical receipt to initiate a warranty claim.
